When she first debuted in 2008, the Solstice was a one of a kind stunner in the Celebrity Cruises fleet, boasting a 1,400 plus seating theatre, multiple dining venues and even a Lawn Club. She was the first ship launched in the line’s new Solstice-class of ships, her sister ships being Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse and, due next year, Celebrity Silhouette.
Celebrity is a premium cruise line, known for their sleek, attractive ships, well-appointed staterooms and delicious cuisine. The youngest fleet sailing today, Condé Nast Traveler consistently rates Celebrity ships among the finest in the world.
Celebrity offer touches of class like champagne-and-caviar bars and butler service in all suites. Additionally, their ships host a wide collection of art, over 1,200 pieces, including Picasso and Andy Warhol paintings. They fuse their modern design with attentive and friendly staff ready to help you experience their "star treatment" firsthand.
Staying true to its name, the Solstice, from the root word, "sol," meaning "sun", was built with ample windows and solar panels that help nurture its unique half-acre of living grass. Additionally, over 90% of her the Solstice staterooms are oceanview and 85% have balconies.
Some of her other highlights include:
The Solstice itineraries include the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Mexico & Central America. 7-day Caribbean voyages start from only $86/day and usually include stunning ports such as Grand Cayman, San Juan and St. Maarten. A 12-day adventure in Europe can include popular destinations such as Barcelona, Venice and Rome.
